Fido Psycho

Fido is a rising star in Nigerian music, a versatile artist, performer, and entertainer widely recognized for his chart-topping single “Concur,” which made waves across Nigeria. Born and raised in Lagos, in the Apapa area, he hails from Brass, a region in Bayelsa State.

A graduate of the North American University Houdegbe, Fido chose to pursue his passion for music while continuing his studies. His musical journey began at an early age, and in 2012, he made his mark with standout tracks like “Go Tell,” produced by Dazzman. This early breakthrough earned him a nomination at the Gbedu Awards, where he won the Revelation of the Year award.

Fido followed up with tracks such as “Sleeky Sleeky” (produced by Rexxieponit, known for working with Naira Marley, Davido, Burna Boy), “Money on My Mind,” “Real Love,” and “Get Down” (produced by Fernandez Beats). However, it was with “Concur,” produced by Silvaonelove and mixed by the legendary SWAPS, that he reached a pivotal milestone. The accompanying music video, directed by Sixx, brought him national recognition: he won the Best Performance award at OneBeninFiesta and was nominated at the NTC Awards 2018, where he clinched the award for Best Emerging Afro-Pop Artist.

2019 was a defining year for Fido. He collaborated with Jay-Pizzle Production on the hit “Medication,” mixed by Cheqwas, which became a street anthem and reached number one on Naijaloaded. This success solidified his rise and positioned him among Nigeria’s most promising artists.

Seeking new artistic horizons and aiming to globalize his music by blending diverse influences, Fido joined Yumboe (Mc Lennan Global ISC) for publishing and co-production. The first tracks from this new collaboration are set to launch at the beginning of 2025.
